A private customer was experiencing recurrent blockages in their drainage system. Upon conducting an inspection using a CCTV drainage camera, it was discovered that the pipework had been compromised by steel rebar at four separate points. After reaching out to several drainage contractors, we were assigned the task of removing the obstructions, as the pipework was situated within a pressed concrete pathway and extended beneath the front foundation of the residence, making excavation unfeasible.

To address the issue, we utilized our Dan cutter Superflex to access the pipework and effectively grind down the steel rebar. After an extensive day of cutting and milling, we successfully cleared the pipework of all obstructions and employed high-pressure water jets to eliminate any remaining debris.

Subsequently, we repaired the defects within the pipework by installation Patch Liners, restoring the system to full functionality within two days. Given the location of the drains, excavation would have been prohibitively expensive and impractical. Our approach proved to be cost-effective, efficient, and minimized disruption for the customer, who was already facing a challenging situation.
